for the "privilege" of being an NFL fan?
Well join the club. After a long, hard week on the job you look forward to NFL Sunday, when you can let loose with the boys. But there are a number of things blocking your road to football partyville, aren't there? A wretched economy… extortion at the gas pump… rising ticket prices…
We're paying a king's ransom for this privilege… only this isn't a king's sport. This isn't polo or cricket, this is good ol' American football. And being an NFL fan isn't a privilege, it's a right.
What is NFL Football On The Cheap?
Hmmm… how to summarize what this site is about without boring you to big, fat tears?
"Don't hit the first thing you see…"
Translation: when it comes to spending your hard-earned money, don't automatically go with the first seller or product you lay your eyes upon. Call it the golden rule. Chances are good that there are better and cheaper options within a short distance or a few clicks of the mouse.
Yes, we're naturally attracted to what's convenient, but there is a premium attached to it. Examples?
- The last time I attended an NFL football game, I was slapped with a $15 fee for using one the ATMs inside the stadium.
- One of the imported beer vendors at the stadium ("Vendor A") was charging $1.50 more than the vendor that was about 30 feet away ("Vendor B"). The difference? Vendor A was located just outside seating area exit.
- Ever buy tickets through TicketMaster? The extra handling fees that they slap on top of the ticket price is outrageously ballsy, to say the least. I think they call it a convenience charge because it's a convenient way for them to extract more money from us.
We Have the Power
That's right - as NFL fans, we have the power. The power to avoid exorbitant fees and prices, the power of having options, the power of spending your hard-fought cash on what you want, not what they try to sell you.
So… that… means… shopping!?! (Queue horror flick music)
Most men, including myself, would rather have their body hair waxed then go bargain hunting or comparison shopping.
But that's where I come in… whether you're looking for cheap NFL tickets, bargain-priced NFL jerseys or jackets, inexpensive sports bars near NFL football stadiums, or parking spots that won't charge you and arm & a leg, it is my mission to find and present those options if & when they do exist so that you won't have to wax - err, comparison shop.
Now just because I do it doesn't mean I like it, because somebody's got to, right? But I'm only one person, and now that's where you come in…
