If you think that NFL football helmets are just pieces of equipment that the players use for protection, then 'fess up - you're just a casual fan, aintcha? True NFL fans on the other hand realize that they are much more than that - they are collector's items, decorative displays, conversation pieces, & even status symbols.

Yes, nothing says 'super fan' like owning NFL helmets, but they're not for the faint of heart nor wallet…

So,if cost doesn't matter or you're just that much of a fanatic then authentic NFL helmets are for you. These are the real thing -- what the pros wear on the field, and they can cost upwards of $200. Autographed models can easily go for several times as much - and while they do represent a true investment, it'll cost you big time at the onset.

If money is an object, a cheaper alternative to the authentic full-size helmet is the NFL Replica helmet. Aside from the material (plastic), these are nearly identical to the authentic models but are much cheaper, ranging from $80 to $100.

Is space an issue? You may want to consider mini football helmets which are about half the size. They are small enough for most spaces yet large enough to reveal authentic details.
